Healing Touch is an energy (biofield) therapy that encompasses a group of non-invasive techniques that utilize the hands to clear, energize, and balance the human and environmental energy fields. The North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) identifies an Energy Field Disturbance as a disruption in the flow of energy surrounding a person's being that results in a disharmony of the body, mind, and/or spirit. Healing Touch interventions may be used to restore, energize, and balance an energy field disturbance.

HEALING TOUCH PRACTICE SESSIONS

Regular practice is for those who have taken any level of Healing Touch. Advanced practice is for healers who have taken a minimum of three levels of Healing Touch.

First Tuesday from 6PM to 9:30PM, advanced practice combined with regular practice

Directions for practice sessions:

Genesis... a place to be Center at 4110 Oleatha Ave. in the Tower Grove South neighborhood.  The Center is on the corner of Oleatha and Oak Hill.  Take Arsenal from either Kingshighway or Grand next to Tower Grove Park.  Once on Arsenal look for Bent Avenue.  Turn onto Bent and continue, passing an industrial area with green buildings, to Oleatha, turn left.  The drive is on the right side at the end of the block.  Turn in and go forward and left around the building to the lower parking lot.  Enter through the double doors.

Energy Enhancement Retreats (Not part of HT curriculum. Open to other modalities)
Anyone with advanced energetic experience is welcome (ex. EM, HT 2+, ask for other modalities). Residential retreats, facilitated by Kay Cook, intended to develop intuitive and energetic awareness of the healer through energy "play". Retreats are relatively unstructured, unfolding with delightful surprises. The dynamic of group energy combined with the freedom to flow provides an atmosphere of pure potentiality.

HEALING TOUCH CLASS through Healing Touch program and healing touch international

The Healing Touch educational program was developed by Janet Mentgen, RN, BSN, utilizing a Nursing Continuing Education format.  The American Holistic Nurses' Association  endorse both organizations. Healing Touch is a multi-level program in energy based therapy that moves from beginning to advanced practice.  After completion of Level V, a person is eligible to apply for certification from either organizations.  As a student beginning your training, one will need to decide which organization supports their journey and take classes sponsored through either Healing Touch Program or Healing Touch International.  Kay teaches for both and invites you to visit their respective web sites or contact them to make your choice.

The course book for HTP will be available for purchase at the class.  The Healing Touch a Practitioners Guide should be purchased by the student at book stores or on line.
